Hey, good to see you in my blog. If it is for the first time, you are more than a welcome. Don’t forget to see this blog again cause for sure you will know much about Social Media and its relation with development.

I believe you know about Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. It’s good if you know about it or using it, cause you are in real internet in present era.

Today, I’m writing about the e-book called ‘Welcome to Social Media’ that not only talks about social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc; but also gives the answers of following questions:

  • Why is everyone talking about Facebook, LInkedIn and Twitter?
  • Is social media just for tech nerds and kids?
  • Can social media help my business?
  • Wondering where to begin?

Welcome to Social Media (http://www.welcometosocialmedia.com/) is an e-book and project of Cleveland Social Media Club. It was published in June 2009. Although it’s bit old now, it has impressive stories for sure. I think you are now excited to download the book. Do not wait, just click here.

I hope you like the book.

IMARK consists of a suite of distance learning resources, tools and communities on information management.  IMARK is being developed as a series of modules on CD-ROM and on the Internet, offered free of charge, which will introduce the latest concepts, approaches and tools for information management.

Each IMARK module focuses on a specific area of information management, with a curriculum designed, developed and reviewed by subject matter experts. The modules are being developed using the latest methods in e-learning, providing an interactive environment for self-paced learning.

So far, you can have e-learning modules on following areas:

  • Investing in Information for Development
  • Building Electronic Communities and Networks
  • Networking in Support of Development
  • Web 2.0 and Social Media for Development

Number of users on Facebook in Nepal PDF Print E-mail

Hi all

I hope you are doing great. For me, I’m cool as usual.

Approximately 3 weeks back I have shared the Facebook Statistics of Nepal in my FB status. I have got many likes and comments on that status. Many of my friends were asking about the source too. I took that data from Facebakers.com at that time.

Of course Facebook has more than 500 million users worldwide. But do you know the number of users on Facebook in Nepal? ...hum... I believe most of you do not have prompt answer. If you are just little smart in FB, you can find it by your own. Here I’m gonna share how to do it, okay. You can also refer to the video below.

Condition: You must be a Creator or Admin of FB Page. You can start new Page in FB anytime.

Step 1: Go to your FB page.

Step 2: Below your Page (logo), you can find ‘Promote with an Ad’, click that

Step 3: Design Your Ad and Continue

Step 4: In the ‘Targeting’ section, you can choose location, age and Sex. Meanwhile at the right side, you can see the ‘Estimated Reach’ in numbers.

For example if you choose Nepal in Country, all age and both sex, you will get the estimate reach in right side. That can be considered as approximate number of users on Facebook in Nepal.

According to the same process, the number of users on Facebook in Nepal is 549,940. (Last Update – August 10, 2010)

Note: The number is not the acute one, as users can be increase in every single minute. However this process gives the general idea for sure.

I hope you liked this.

Until next blog, wish you have a great time in internet.
