COCAP Central Regional Secretariat seeks application from energetic, experienced, self-motivated and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position.

1.   Post Title: Program Assistant
Duration: One year with possible extension

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day activities of regional secretariat
  • Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
  • Develop and maintain a current and accurate filing system
  • Dispatch letters and other documents to MOs and other organizations
  • Deal with cash deposit/withdrawal from bank
  • Handle light office duties including photocopying, mailing and other assigned tasks
  • Assist Regional Program Officer in planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and other organizational peace building activities
  • Perform necessary account keeping tasks

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Intermediate in management or any other related field
  • Minimum one year experience of dealing with accounts in any organization
  • Computer knowledge with basic office applications (MS-Excel is a must)
  • Able to speak and write in English

Population Services International (PSI) is one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations, working with the mission of measurably improving the health of poor and vulnerable people operating in more than 60 countries. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal’s National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. PSI/Nepal’s current portfolio contains programs in malaria, reproductive health, family planning and safe motherhood, safe water and fortified complementary food for young children.
PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified, self motivated and dynamic candidates for the following positions:
1.  Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Director
The Monitoring and Evaluation Director will lead and oversee all M&E efforts related specially to Global Fund programs as well as other PSI/Nepal programs. S/he will be responsible for preparing and implementing M&E policies, guidelines and procedures and ensuring that M&E practices are in accordance with the donor standards.
Qualification:
  • Masters degree in Public Health, Social Science or a related degree
  • Minimum 7 years experience in designing, implementing and supervising M&E efforts for health programs with 5 years managerial experience
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of applying M&E tools in program management
  • Firm command of M&E issues with respect to health sector
2.  Procurement and Supply Manager
The Procurement and Supply Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing all the local and international procurement; overseeing the supply of products, equipments and services for PSI/Nepal and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
Qualification:
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or a related degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, logistics or a related field with 3 years managerial experience
  • Proven track record of experience in the area of international pharmaceuticals procurement
  • Knowledge of Global Fund pharmaceutical procurement requirements
3.  Internal Auditor
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for strengthening systems to ensure compliance with internal and external policies, donor regulations and host country laws. This may include policy manual review and revision; coordinating and conducting internal audits of PSI/Nepal and its partners; management of risks and production of timely audit reports.
Qualification:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Auditing, Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years of auditing experience
  • Ability to establish and/or apply local laws, regulations and compliance requirements
All the above positions require the candidate to have experience of working in development sector; demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.

Prevention of disabilities and combating exclusion and stigmatisation of people with disabilities are also a major focus of HI’s work. HI Nepal is inviting applications for the position of:

Physiotherapy Advisor (1 position)

Job profile: Under the general supervision of the Rehabilitation Project Coordinator, the Physiotherapy Advisor will be responsible for coordinating the Physiotherapy and Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) technical side of the project and overseeing the work of all Physiotherapists (PTs) and their teams of Physiotherapy assistants (PTAs) and Community workers (CWs) to ensure that the team achieves all the objectives and delivery of quality rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support centre-based physiotherapists to coordinate the Physiotherapy/rehabilitation departments supported by the project and ensure their proper and efficient management.
  • Carry out regular technical/quality/training needs analysis in physiotherapy and CBR and provide or coordinate necessary formal and on-the-job training required to PTs and PTAs.
  • Develop and maintain a holistic rehabilitation approach, ensuring proper team work between Prosthetist & Orthotist, Physio, and CBR components.
  • Support the development of procedures for PT departments and any publication related to the project

Requirements:

  • Physiotherapy degree or diploma, registered with the Health Professional Council to practice as Physiotherapist in Nepal.
  • Proven track record in  coordination of physiotherapy;  minimum 5 years of practical experience
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training to Physiotherapists.
  • Significant experience in Community-based Rehabilitation
  • Proven experience of working holistically and within a multidisciplinary team in the field of rehabilitation.
  • Advanced oral and written English mandatory, very strong writing / reporting skills

Applicants are required to be able to work pro-actively and independently towards set objectives, in a result-oriented approach, with excellent organisational capacity, an ability to work effectively under pressure and able to manage extended team with various levels of qualification, multiple centres and locations.

Lalitpur Nursing Campus (LNC) invites CV and cover letter for a fulltime librarian.

The librarian is responsible for the daily operations of the Lalitpur Nursing campus (LNC) Library. These responsibilities include providing reference support to all staff and students. You will also be responsible for marketing, developing, promoting, and disseminating information about LNC Library. You will need to maintain the LNC Library Collection, including recommending materials for acquisition and cataloging new items and maintaining a library policies & procedures handbook.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in Library science preferable Masters Degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in a medical/health library.
  • Knowledge of PubMed, electronic journals and CD Rom searching techniques.
  • Competency in library classification including NLM. LC and DDC 21.  Familiarity with health related reference tools and textbooks, computer applications, and Internet.

The successful candidate must be able to conduct intelligent reference interviews and have excellent oral and typing skills in both Nepali and English. Also an ability to work independently and be self motivated is essential.
