The Britain Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT) is a leading Nepali-led INGO working in the Health and Development Sector of Nepal since 1967. The BNMT works under an agreement with the Government of Nepal and in partnership with national and international development partners in 42 districts throughout the Nepal.
BNMT seeks applications from qualified, experienced and motivated Nepalese candidates for the following position.
Position: Advocacy, Networking and Resource Mobilization Manager
Duty Station: Head Office, Kathmandu with frequent travel to project districts
Position summary:
The Advocacy, Networking and Resource Mobilization Manager will mainly be responsible for assisting the Director in donor tracking and initiating preparation of concept notes and proposals for programme/project development and fund raising considering BNMTâs strategic plan and its niches. The incumbent will need to display exceptional writing and editing skills and depth knowledge on international development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop resource generation policies, strategy and plans;
- Take the lead role in writing concept notes and proposals;
- Develop fund raising marketing and promotional materials for fund raising and profile raising purposes;
- Assist the Director in advocating for policies, resources and good development practice through appropriate forums;
- Assist the Director in developing external / public relations strategy.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in Health related or Business Administration with at least three years experience. Any additional academic degree in Public Health and/or experience of working in a similar capacity will be an asset. Proven track record of fund raising and in preparing project proposals.
Skills/Qualities:
Strong networking, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills. Should be willing to undertake additional responsibilities, ability to perfom multiple tasks and work under pressure. Proven ability to coordinate and write project proposals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali;
Duration: Initially one year with the possibility of extension. First six months will be probationary period.

Job Description
Samriddhi is looking for competent and energetic individuals with strong academic background for the position of Research Assistant. Selected candidate will get an opportunity to work with reputed Economists and Public Policy experts. The position is based at Samriddhiâs office but may require occasional field travel to other parts of the country.
Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will be responsible for:
- Collecting primary/secondary data required
- Analyzing the collected data
- Preparing background papers, policy briefs and reports under the guidance of the Expert(s).
- Any other tasks assigned by the Expert(s) and Research Manager.
Qualifications
Candidates should at least have a Bachelorâs degree, preferably a Masterâs degree in Economics (or have Economics in the academic background). Applicants with prior experience in the field of social sciences and economics research will be preferred.
In addition, the candidate must possess the followings:
- Good writing and communication skills in English and preferably Nepali.

Salary
Salary will be determined based on position-related experience, professional accomplishments, and relevant education.
Appointment Term
The initial appointment term is 6 months starting from February 2012 and is renewable at the Foundationâs option.
