Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) is an independent, non-profit NGO dedicated to development of public service broadcasting in Nepal. Antenna produces high quality radio (mainly) and TV programs and provides training and technical support of local FM stations to better reach local and rural communities in a two way communication: disseminating information and getting their voices heard.

AFN is looking for a dynamic individual to join its team as the Project Coordinator:

  • To ensure Antenna Foundation Nepal's projects are implemented on time and with quality;
  • To plan and develop project ideas and proposals in collaborations with project team;
  • To initiate and ensure timely and quality submission of donor project proposals;
  • To build organizational capacity throughout Antenna Foundation Nepal in Proposal Writing, Report Writing, Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management.

Major Responsibilities

Project Initiation

  • Initiate project proposals/bids as required taking direction from Programme Manager, Producers and Advisors;
  • Write project proposals, concept notes,
  • Develop project (action) plan, in liaison with Programme and Production Managers, Producers and relevant stakeholders (including donors and beneficiaries);

Implementation

  • Manage Project Team and ensure all tasks are being delivered on time;
  • Co-ordinate regular meetings of Project Team to discuss progress of the Project against Plan and discuss issues and problems;
  • Manage risks and issues that arise and make decisions on actions to be taken to ensure the project deliverables can still be achieved or if there is a risk that they cannot, escalate issues to senior managers.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Co-ordinate progress on project activities and organize (at least) monthly Project Team progress meetings
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/biannual Project Progress reports for Programme Manager and Donor

Project Close

  • Close project once satisfied that all the project deliverables from the Project Plan have been met
  • Prepare final report for donors (include copy of lessons learnt)

Organization Development

  • Support Organization capacity building through the delivery of Proposal Writing, Report Writing, M&E and Project Management skills trainings

Required Skills

Masters in any subjects of social science;

Minimum of 2 years in developing and implementing Projects

Strong analytical (quantitative & qualitative research) skills

Excellent in written and spoken English

Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) is a national network of human rights and peace non-governmental organizations in Nepal. It has been working in the field of human rights and peace since 2001. COCAP seeks application from energetic, experienced, self-motivated and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position.

1.Post Title:   Regional Program Officer

Duration: One year with possible extension

Salary: NRS. 15,750.00 per month

Duty Station: Pokhara

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Develop annual and quarterly work plan and budget of the regions

Frequent visit, coordination and technical support to member organizations (MOs) including proposal writing, translations, arranging workshops/discussions and conducting orientation sessions

Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual report to meet the reporting requirements

Communicate regularly with regional committee, national secretariat, MOs and donors

Establish working relationship of COCAP MOs with other civil society organizations in the region

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in social science or any other related field

Two years of working experience, preferably within an I/NGO environment

Fluency in English and Nepali with strong writing and speaking skill

Good command of MS office applications

Good negotiation and communication skill

Good networking and coordination skill

Sound knowledge and understanding of the social, political and right based issues of Nepal
